Legacy Senior Living Welcomes Destiny Helms as Executive Director

(CLEVELAND, Tenn) Legacy Village of Cleveland, an assisted living and memory care community serving Bradley County, welcomes Destiny Helms to the position of Executive Director.  

Helms joined Legacy in 2022, bringing with her several years of experience in the senior living industry. Helms says she fell in love with senior care by “pure accident” and “on purpose for God” and has never turned back from that calling. Helms is on a mission to correct the misconception that entering a senior living community is a negative transition. However, as a firm believer that it is never too late to start a new goal or dream, Helms’ vision for Legacy Village is that when residents move in, they will find that they begin to thrive in a new community of friendships, laughter, and belonging. 

It is with such a heart for this industry that Helms states, “My prayer and hope for Bradley County is that seniors here will choose to move in earlier to communities such as Legacy Village and begin to experience a new stage of strength and opportunity. We would love for that new season to be here with us at Legacy Village of Cleveland, where love is bountiful, and laughter is a must!” 

Helms and her family moved to Cleveland, TN from Oklahoma to fulfill the position. Helms and her husband of 15 years, Chad, have three children – Malachi, Mathan, and Moriah. When she is not working, Helms can be found enjoying local eateries, visiting local bookstores and coffee shops, hiking, enjoying time on the lake and tubing the river, waterparks, and camping. What brings Helms the greatest joy is her relationship with Jesus and the word of God, her family and pets, the outdoors, serving seniors, worship music, reading, and a good cup of coffee.  

Having been quoted saying, “Seniors are my jam!” Helms looks forward to serving Legacy Village of Cleveland for many years to come.
