Flash Fire at Site of Legacy Village Construction

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (June 11, 2018) -- A minor flash-fire event occurred at the under-construction Legacy Village of Cleveland around 8am Monday morning, June 11. The flash fire occurred in the commercial kitchen area when new equipment was being installed. The event, initially described as an explosion, was confirmed by local fire officials as a flash-fire. Three construction workers were burned and are receiving treatment.

Legacy Senior Living and Legacy Village of Cleveland pray for the workers' injuries and are thankful that no one else was hurt.

The incident was investigated by Cleveland fire officials and Chattanooga Gas. Both responding groups quickly cleared the building for all construction-related activities to continue.  Only minor damages were reported in the commercial kitchen.

Legacy Village of Cleveland looks forward to serving the residents and families of Cleveland and Bradley County and anticipates opening this fall.
