Legacy Senior Living Assumes Ownership and Management of The Harbor at Opelika, Formerly Manor House of Opelika, 32-Unit Alzheimer’s and Memory Care Facility Serving Auburn-Opelika
OPELIKA, Ala. (May 25, 2018) – Legacy Senior Living is pleased to announce the acquisition of Manor House of Opelika, which is undergoing significant interior and exterior renovation under its new name, The Harbor at Opelika.
Located at 1001 Fox Run Parkway, The Harbor at Opelika offers 32 deluxe Alzheimer’s and memory care units in a charming residential setting.
The new ownership will begin a significant renovation, including a total facelift for both inside and outside. The interior renovation will include decorated themes used in several of Legacy Senior Living’s other memory care facilities, known as The Harbor. The Harbor is a place of refuge and safety from the storms accompanying dementia and Alzheimer’s.
“The Harbor is a result from years of planning and development with notable experts in the field of memory loss. The Harbor’s overall theme, design, colors, furniture, and common areas, all reflect a 1950’s theme, to remind residents of happier times,” Barry Ray, president of Legacy Senior Living, said.
“We look forward to investing in the community of Opelika and the well-being of its seniors and their loved ones. We are committed to serve the greatest generation with honor, respect, faith and integrity and are excited to do so as we join the Opelika community,” Bryan Cook, Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Senior Living, said.
The Harbor at Opelika joins a growing family of eleven other assisted, independent or memory care facilities, including The Harbor at Hickory Hill in Prattville, Ala., a sister facility serving the Montgomery region that is also owned and operated by Cleveland, Tenn.-based Legacy Senior Living.
“We love serving the seniors of the Auburn-Opelika metro area and look forward to becoming a part of the Legacy Senior Living family,” Ryan McFerren, executive director of the senior living facility serving the Auburn-Opelika metro area, said.
