Shelley Johnson, Legacy Village of Jacksonville Team Member, Wins Company-Wide Legacy Champion Award

Jacksonville local resident recognized as the winning team member from 12 senior living communities throughout the Southeast in the Legacy Senior Living network

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (March 23, 2017) – Shelley Johnson, a team member at Legacy Village of Jacksonville assisted living and memory care facility, was voted the first annual company-wide “Legacy Champion” by its Cleveland, Tenn.-based, management company, Legacy Senior Living. Johnson was recognized as the winning team member from 12 senior living communities throughout the Southeast in the Legacy Senior Living network.

Johnson was chosen for this award for always going the extra mile in every aspect of her professional care. At the end of each day after she clocks out, she returns off the clock to spend time with residents who may be down or need some company. She will bring snacks, candy or a simple card to cheer up Legacy Village of Jacksonville residents who may need special care that day. She makes sure they are well groomed, well dressed, and on time for appointments and activities.

“There are many reasons why Shelley deserves to be the first annual Legacy Champion. I have many family members and residents who frequently praise Shelley for how caring and thoughtful she is. Legacy Village of Jacksonville owners and operators, Barry Ray, president and Bryan Cook, COO, presented Johnson with a bouquet of roses and a $1,000 award for her hard work and dedication.
