Byron Whittington Named Director of Operations and Development Support for Legacy Senior Living, Management Company of Assisted Living and Memory Care Facilities
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (October 10, 2016) – Byron Whittington has joined Legacy Senior Living, Cleveland, Tenn.-based management company of assisted living and memory care facilities, as the director of operations and development support.
In this management position, Whittington will work closely with Barry Ray and Bryan Cook, Legacy Senior Living’s president and COO, respectively, to coordinate, facilitate and catalyze needed support for facility operations and future development projects.
Whittington became a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. when he moved from his hometown, Talladega, Ala., to attend Lee University, where he completed a double major in business administration and accounting. He later returned to Lee for his master’s in business administration.
“Byron joins us after serving many years as the coordinator of business affairs at Lee University. The nearly ten years’ experience he logged there positioned him very well to be the perfect fit for us in this new role,” said Cook.
“Bryan and I have always been impressed with Byron’s hard work, “can do” attitude and professional demeanor. We are very excited to have him as a part of our team and look forward to the contribution he will make to Legacy as we continue to expand our mission and services,” said Ray.

Legacy Village of Cleveland, Tenn.
Legacy Senior Living recently announced the development of a new senior living facility, Legacy Village of Cleveland, which will begin construction in early 2017. The facility will offer both assisted living and memory care services in a 56,000 square foot building. The building will be located on Candies Lane on land formerly known as Rolling Hills Golf Course. The facility will occupy 38 assisted living suites and 32 memory care studio suites.
In addition to a dining room and a viewing deck with incredible views of the rolling hills, Legacy Village amenities will include a chapel, fitness center, private dining room, activity/craft areas, fireplace lounges and a media café.
Legacy Village of Cleveland will also feature The Harbor - a specially designed, nationally recognized memory care wing that reflects a 1950’s interior design that is intended to “take residents back to a happier time.”
Legacy Village of Cleveland is anticipated to open in spring of 2018.
